Reminiscences of a Stock Operator was written by Jesse Livermore the original ‘Lone Wolf of Wall Street’, a legendary trader. The nickname emphasizes Livermore’s solitary and independent trading style, detached from Wall Street and its norms and rules. Sound familiar?
Livermore avoided alliances, partnerships or being part of any financial firm, preferring to rely solely on his own analysis and instincts, and kept a low profile apart from being known for his spectacular trades. He was also known as the ‘Great Bear of Wall Street’ for his ability to profit during market downturns, especially the 1929 stock market crash.
I love the book and have read it several times – I hope you do too.
There are 2 versions, one PDF and one ePub which can be read on most e-readers including Kindle. The PDF is more interesting because there are original photos at the beginning which are not available in the ePub version, so it is probably worth looking at that even if you want to read on your kindle.
Agreed – but you have to start somewhere and this is my favorite stock market book – and I’ve read hundreds over the years!
I will add more books as they become available.
